What sort of Strat you using in the SRV band?

And, by the way, I see freediver deleted all your posts from yesterday.

He even deleted the thread.

Yes I do/did.
From age 9 I played button chromatic accordion and later years piano. I haven’t touched piano for about 5 years now. But feel the urge to go back and play again.
I want to learn guitar but found it hurts the padded tips of fingers. A musician friend told me she developed callouses over time. I just don’t want callouses.

I'm not musically inclined, I've tried in the past but I'm tone deaf and lazy. Luckily my kids don't take after me. Even the ten year old can tell what note someone is playing just by listening to it. My oldest is very talented but as he this year started the STEM excellence programme, he has had to give up the music due to time restraints. I want to get him into something outside of school, possibly guitar, but as I am trying to purchase a business everything is on hold until that is finalized since we might have to move.

Can I ask what, is a SRV band?

A band that plays covers of Stevie Ray Vaughan tunes.

Among the guitar community, he's just known as SRV.

I play guitar, I'm in a SRV cover band and auditioning people for a Judas Priest cover band tonight.
I wanted to delete the thread but I couldn't. Good. I am glad I triggered him that hard. I'm HEARTBROKEN to be kicked out of a forum where people abused me and refused to debate...

I have a Mark Kendall signature guitar, USA made strat without a whammy. It's pretty cool, I just got it refretted

I don't have callouses you can SEE, but my fingers stopped getting sore pretty quick.

I tried piano and concluded that instrument needs musical ability :)

I play a few instruments to a limited degree ... probably most proficient on the guitar , but nowhere near the standard of you guys. I like a nice acoustic.

My main instrument though is my voice, although that's no longer what it used to be.

I just had a practice where the singer didn't come and I had to sing. No one wants that...

And honestly, AC/DC is HIGH.

AC/DC have had excellent vocalists, with both of them.
Yeah, I'm gonna be a pedantic wanker (again) :)

There was another vocalist: Dave Evans - the original singer.

Not 100% sure, but I think he still lives here in Perth.

But yes, Bon and Brian are both great.

And he formed a band called Rabbit, that were terrible. He's done a bit of press recently, actually.

The original video for can I sit next to you is marvellous. As well as angus, they are all in costumes. Malcolm is a court jester and he does NOT look amused

I play an acoustic guitar I've had since I was 18. Strumming and simple fingerpicking mostly. My biggest fans are my cats. They lay around nearby while I play and totally love it.
